Co-Chairman Pakistan People's Party President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday said that PPP would continue its forward march towards strengthening democracy and state institutions, besides putting economy back on track while following the policy of reconciliation and dialogue with its allies and all the political forces in the country.
"The country is faced with huge challenges including economic stress, energy crisis, rising inflation, besides militancy and extremism but equally strong is our resolve to steer the country out of the difficulty," he said while addressing the party MNAs here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday night. The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
The meeting started with offering fateha for late Khalid Ghurki, husband of Minister Samina Khalid Ghurki. The president asked the party Parliamentarians to step up contacts with voters of their respective constituencies and concentrate on addressing their grievances.
