Karachiites have witnessed the hottest day of the month as mercury touched 40 degrees celsius under scorching sun on Thursday. A Met official said that this is the highest temperature during the month (April) so far and added that hot spell is likely to continue for next two days in the metropolis.
He said Chhore remained the hottest part in the province where maximum temperature touched 41.4 degrees celsius while minimum temperature was recorded in Moenjodaro with 15 degrees. The maximum temperature in Karachi will remain in the range of 38 to 40 degrees celsius.
