Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) on Thursday acquired a supramax bulk carrier named "Hyderabad" for its subsidiary company, Hyderabad Shipping (Private) Limited. The M V HYDERABAD is 52,951 metric tonnes dead-weight; supramax bulk carrier built in 2004 by Oshima Shipyard, Nagasaki Japan.
The vessel was purchased from a company named Jewel Maritime Inc Kingston, St Vincent and the Grenadines, managed by Emaarat Maritime Ltd, UAE. The acquisition of M V Hyderabad is in line with PNSC''s commitment to modernisation, development and strengthening of the National Flag Carrier of Pakistan. Acquisition of M V Hyderabad is part of the 5 years development plan to modernise PNSC''s fleet through induction of modern ships to serve Pakistan''s trade and also of the world at large.-PR
