Arrangements finalised to organise workshop on NAP

All arrangements have been finalised for organising workshop on National Action Programme (NAP) to combat land degradation & desertification review and launching of its Alignment process is here on April 26-27. The Secretary, Ministry of Environment Khawaja Muhammad Naeem will inaugurate the workshop on Tuesday, April 26 at 10.00 a m.
National and international experts will make presentations followed by group discussions about national issues and measures to combat land degradation, desertification and drought. Additional Secretary Environment Kamran Ali Qureshi would present welcome address while National Project Co-ordinator Sustainable Land Management Project (SLMP) Dr Amjad Tahir Virk, I G Forest Syed Mahmood Nasir, Ms Camilla Nordheim, Dr Bashir Ahmed Wani, Dr Maqsood Anwar, Dr Ghulam Akbar would deliver lectures on important topics.
