Scores of people calling for halt to US drone strikes in the tribal regions staged two-hour strike on Abdali Road on Sunday noon under the leadership of Ijaz Janjua of Tehrik-i-Insaf Pakistan. "We are observing the sit-in to express solidarity with Imran Khan who is leading a two day massive protest against the drone attack ", said organisers.
Janjua said that a number of Tehrik-i-Insaf workers from the city have left for Peshawar to join the massive protest. He said, "Government has failed to stop US strikes, which kill innocent people including women and children and our rulers have provided air bases to United States in Jacobabad, Rajanpur, and other cities.
