United Nations children's agency Unicef and Government of Punjab have signed a two-year work-plan amounting to US $38 million to scale-up action for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
The two-year plan covers activities in areas such as health, nutrition, education, child protection and water, hygiene & sanitation to the tune of US $38 million that will need the support from governmental and intergovernmental partners. The effort will focus on the most vulnerable children in Punjab, over and above key development programmes delivered during the emergency and early recovery phases of 2010 floods amounting to US $19 million.-PR
