Hanif Adamjee, former chairman of Adamjee Insurance Company, died here on Tuesday. He was 84. He leaves behind his wife, three sons and two daughters to mourn his death. He was the eldest son of late Wahid Adamjee. His funeral prayer would be held on Wednesday (today) after Zohr at Sultan Masjid, DHA.
Born in Jetpur, Hanif Adamjee got his education from Calcutta. In 1947, he migrated to East Pakistan where he lived till 1971. He set up his business in East Pakistan and headed various companies. Hanif Adamjee came to Karachi after the fall of Dhaka.
