Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain while terming the rumours as baseless, on Wednesday said his party has yet to take a decision about joining the coalition government. Talking to media following meeting with a delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement led by Dr Farooq Sattar, the PML-Q chief said consultations within the party and with 'friend' political forces were still under way on joining the ruling coalition. He added that no final decision has been taken so far.
He dubbed as rumours all media reports that PML-Q has decided to take certain ministries besides asking for perks and privileges from the government. Speaking on the occasion, PML-Q leader Faisal Saleh Hayyat said his party won't enter any bargaining, adding that the country was facing more serious challenges such as US drone attacks, price hike, unemployment. He said the ruling PPP has offered to join the federal government but he added that till now no final decision has been taken. He also contradicted media reports published in a section of press saying that these were 'false'.
MQM leader Farooq Sattar said his party's friendship was deeper than any coalition with PML-Q, adding that they could resolve problems of masses collectively. He said the two parties have decided to keep continuous co-operation and contact. While referring to the expected PML-Q joining of the federal Cabinet, Sattar said it was not strange in politics as making and breaking of coalition was a routine practice. He said the leadership of the two parties discussed in detail the problems being faced by common man, adding that the time has come to give relief to masses. He hoped that the government would come up with people-friendly budget.
