MOL Pakistan arranged a one-day free medical camp for the local community at Basic Health Unit in Sarki, Chamba Gul area of district Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The area falls in the TAL Block of MOL Pakistan and the initiative was in line with the organisation's policy of supporting district government in provision of basic health facilities and information to the underprivileged communities, especially in the areas of operation of MOL Pakistan.
Community Relations Department organised the activity in collaboration with District Administration Hangu. Medical team comprising two specialist doctors (one male and one female) and paramedical staff provided free check-up along-with prescribed medicine to the patients. The OPD remained in progress from 8.00am to 1.00pm. During the activity, more than 400 patients including a large number of women and children were examined.
The camp received massive response from the local community and local elders who appreciated the move for meeting the prioritised and dire need of the area. Managing Director/CEO of MOL Pakistan, Erno Lipták while commenting on the success of the camp said, "MOL Pakistan is thankful to the people of Sarki Piala/Chambagul for availing the facility provided through free medical camp, and assures them that it would continue to come up with such initiatives. MOL understands its responsibility, towards communities living in its areas of operation."
MOL Pakistan is driven by the highest standards of corporate governance and social responsibility. As a corporate citizen, it believes in building strong relationships with all the stakeholders with special focus the communities in which it operates. The organisation's values are exemplified in a range of corporate initiatives designed to impact positively on the lives of local communities through social services, support for government line agencies, and promotion of sports and educational initiatives.
