Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Chief, Nawaz Sharif will chair an important joint meeting of the party's Central Executive Committee (CEC) and Parliamentary Party on May 10 to discuss the situation emerged after the two crucial incidents-US unilateral raid in Abbottabad that led to killing of Osama bin Laden and release of the CIA operative Raymond Davis.
The PML-N chief on Saturday returned home from London where he had undergone a heart surgery and would be holding deliberation on the important incidents that took place in the country during his absence. The CEC and parliamentary party of the PML-N, which is the largest political party in National Assembly, would meet with Nawaz in the chair here at Punjab House on Tuesday to discuss the country's current political situation, the party's sources said.
According to the sources the party is likely to come up with 'most critical' stance on these very important issues and would also discuss the recent increase in electricity tariff, economic crisis, unprecedented price hike, corruption and other important issues of national importance.
When approached party's spokesman Siddiqual Farooq, e said that the PML-N chief has returned and confirmed that he would chair the joint meeting of the party's CEC and parliamentary party to be held here at Punjab House. About the agenda and decisions to be taken by the party, Farooq said that the matters pertaining to Osama bin Laden's killing, the economic situation of the country and the prevailing political situation would come under discussion.
About the party's future strategy, the PML-N's spokesman, however, said that the PML-N's chief would consult the party members regarding future course of action. Meanwhile, while chairing a meeting of the PML-N women chapter here at the party's central secretariat, the PML-N's leader Shazia Orangzeb demanded of the President Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani to tender resignations on their failure to protect sovereignty of Pakistan. He also asked the government to take the nation into confidence on the US raid in Abbottabad.
