Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader and Senior Federal Minister Chaudhry Parveiz Elahi on Saturday termed impression regarding ignorance of intelligence agencies about Abbottabad operation as white lie. Talking to reporters at his Gulberg residence, Elahi said that foreign media reports pertaining to country's agencies in the wake of operation against Osama bin Laden at Abbottabad are not based on facts.
He said world must realise huge sacrifices rendered by army and people of Pakistan in the war against terror. Answering a question, he said commission for demarcation of proposed Hazara and Southern Punjab provinces would be set up soon. The PML-Q has always upheld the country's interests and tried to resolve the issues posed to the countrymen, he added. To another query, Elahi expressed optimism that Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman would also rejoin the coalition government like MQM.
Regarding the alliance among different factions of Muslim League, he blamed Sharif brothers for showing stubborn attitude on this issue. He also blamed the PML-N for creating hurdles for PML-Q to become part of the coalition government. Elahi further said that matters pertaining to higher education commission, drug policy and curriculum would remain with the federation despite transfer of ministries to the provinces under the 18th Constitutional Amendment. He said he is going to set up his office in Lahore that would help resolve problems of people.
