The Senate standing committee on Water and Power to discuss Pak-India water issues along with litigation details on Monday. Nawabzada Mir Haji Laskari Raisani will preside over the meeting.
According to an official, the representatives of Ministry for Water and Powers includes Secretary, Chairman Wapda and Chairman Irsa would give a detailed briefing on the future plans and measures adopted by the ministry to minimise the damages due to flash floods. The committee will also recommend improvements in the strategy adopted for future besides suggesting ways and means to overcome the deficiencies, he said.
