Apropos a Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) press release "Tax exemptions, zero rating: concerns voiced over secy finance's statement" carried by Business Recorder on Sunday, the spokesman for the Finance Ministry on Monday stated that the finance secretary, Dr Waqar Masood, had never proposed a complete withdrawal of tax exemptions and zero-rating. Hence, the concerns expressed by the KCCI are not legitimate.
