Former Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi called 118th extraordinary general meeting of Farmers Associates of Pakistan (FAP) to discuss various issues related to agriculture sector, here on Tuesday (Today).
FAP spokesman told Business Recorder that the general body would discuss the issue of Revised General Sales Tax (RGST), withholding tax, government's on-going wheat procurement campaign, prices of fertiliser, prices of agriculture products and imposition of agriculture tax in the next year's budget.
He said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Chairman FAP will chair the meeting. Later, he will brief the media about decisions of FAP. It may be added that FAP has been very critical of the government with regard to withdrawal of some subsidies, increase in GST, imposition of agriculture tax, imposition of RGST on agriculture machinery and inputs etc.
