Boom Boom Afridi shows his magic once again
Pakistan’s legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi has proved once again that he can still do magic with the ball, as he bagged maiden T10 hat-trick on debut.
The veteran player jolted the Maratha Arabians line-up with his three stunning deliveries, defeating Virender Sehwag’s side by 25 runs.
The 37-year-old picked up the wicket of dangerous Rile Rossouw on his first delivery in this format, while he dismissed Dwayne Bravo and skipper Sehwag on next two deliveries to complete his hat-trick.
Speaking at the post-match ceremony, Afridi said, "I like this T10 format as everything happens so quickly and you don't have to think too much about making decisions.”
Earlier, the Arabians captain Virender Sehwag won the toss and elected to field first. His team scored 96 for seven while chasing Pakhtoon’s mammoth 122-run target.
Another record in #T10Cricket, First ever hat-trick by @SAfridiOfficial in shortest format of the cricket. This is how he dismissed Rossouw, Bravo & Sehwag. Must say it was his day, treat to watch!!! pic.twitter.com/fHkRQk8lCV
