The Karachi Port handled 132,276 tonnes of cargo including 91,232 tonnes of import cargo, 41,044 tonnes of export cargo and 4,628 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 91,232 tonnes comprised of 22,593 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,190 tonnes of rock phosphate and 66,449 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 41,044 tonnes comprised of 36,198 tonnes of containerised cargo; 984 tonnes of general cargo; 3,862 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,632 tonnes of cement and 2,230 tonnes of talcum powder. Eight ships namely MT Karachi, OEL Trust, Bunga Raya Tiga, Atlantic, Montecristo, Marcampania, APL Brisbane and MOL Sea Breeze carrying three container ships, tug and three container ships respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Hanjin Manaco, Kota Akbar, Hansa Constitution, Falda, Island Express and Bsle Star carrying three container ships, oil tanker and two bulk cargo carriers are currently at the berths. Four ships namely High Glow, Hanjin Manaco, Falda and Hansa Constitution carrying two container ships and two oil tankers expected to sail on Tuesday, while another ship namely MT Lahore with oil tanker is expected to sail on Wednesday.
Two vessels viz Stena Paris and APL Coral with naphtha and container ship respectively due to arrive on Tuesday, while six vessels viz YM Uranus, Quetta, Pardis, STX Patriakos, Cap George and Alliance St Louis carrying naphtha, crude oil, three container ships and vehicles carrier respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 25,279 tonnes of cargo includes 14,250 tonnes of import cargo, 11,029 tonnes of export cargo and 810 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 14,250 tonnes includes 10,620 tonnes of furnace oil and 3,630 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 11,029 tonnes includes 806 tonnes of wheat; 3,407 tonnes of cement and 6,816 tonnes of containerised cargo. A container ship namely CV MSC Jade sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while another ship namely MV Majestic is expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of five vessels viz CV MSC Jade, MV Rana, MV Tycoon-II, MV Majestic and MT Genmar Compatriot are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, cement, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Seven ships namely Al-Salam-II, Never Land, Al-Nouf, Saudi Hofuf, Nedlloyd Tasman, DL Ace and UASC Doha carrying diesel oil, furnace oil, containers and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of five vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Tasman, CV Saudi Hofuf, CV UASC Doha, MT DL Ace and CV Never Land carrying containers, chemicals and furnace oil respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
