Make A Wish Foundation Pakistan and Isra University Hyderabad joined hands to commemorate World Thalasaemia Day. Faisal Keerio a 6 years old child suffering from Thalasaemia major became a doctor for a day as per his cherished wish. Faisal Keerio received an Honorary Medical Degree awarded by the VC of Isra University, thus making him the youngest doctor.
He visited the wards of the hospital wearing a doctor's gown with stethoscope and other medical kit. He also received one day salary of a doctor from Isra University. Four other children's wishes to become a Cricketer, to have a mobile phone, to have Doll & Doll House and meeting favourite Sindhi Singer, Ahmed Mughal.
Ishtiaq Baig, President Make A Wish Foundation Pakistan thanked the VC and the team of Isra University for their collaboration to celebrate World Thalasaemia Day by fulfilling the wishes of children suffering from thalasaemia major. The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, doctors of Isra University, Qazi, Kazi Asad Abid, MAW Incharge Interior Sindh Anila Sidhu, volunteers and parents of the wish children.-PR
