The Karachi Port handled 101,288 tonnes of cargo including 71,595 tonnes of import cargo, 29,693 tonnes of export cargo and 2,908 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 71,595 tonnes comprised of 27,082 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,799 tonnes of general cargo; 19,714 tonnes of bulk cargo and 22,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 29,693 tonnes comprised of 14,689 tonnes of containerised cargo; 212 tonnes of general cargo and 14,792 tonnes of bulk cargo. Seven ships namely Daffodil, APL Zircon, Cape Manuel, Quetta, SCF Alpine, Ocean Olympic and Bussara Naree carrying three container ships, crude oil tanker, oil tanker, coal carrier and steel respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz Wan Hai-605, Vira Bhum, Hanjin Durban, YM Europe and FSL Singapore carrying four container ships and jet oil tanker respectively are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Seagull-D, Vira Bhum, Patriot, FSL Singapore and Wan Hai-605 with wheat carrier, container ship, general cargo, jet oil tanker and container ship respectively expected to sail on Tuesday, while three ships namely Hong Xin Angel, An Xin Jiang and YM Europe with rock phosphate, general cargo and container ship are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Six vessels viz Oriental Chemi, Liquid Platinum, Bunga Aster, President Folk, Endurance and Danica Red carrying two ethanol carriers, RBD palm oil, container ship, vehicles and general cargo respectively due to arrive on Tuesday, while six vessels viz Kassos, Kota Anggerik, Hanjin Paris, Thuringia Express, BM Interpid and Abba carrying LSFO, three container ships, general cargo and Steel coils respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 77,419 tonnes of cargo includes 62,606 tonnes of import cargo, 14,813 tonnes of export cargo and 1,847 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 62,606 tonnes includes 9,717 tonnes of diesel oil; 22,497 tonnes of furnace oil; 10,742 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 19,650 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 14,813 tonnes includes 2,775 tonnes of rice; 3,983 tonnes of cement and 8,055 tonnes of containerised cargo. An oil tanker MT Al-Soor-II sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely CV MSC Magali and MV Liberty Spirit are expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total number of six vessels viz CV MSC Magali, MV Al-Aska, MV Sapphire-II, MV Liberty Spirit, MT Iron Monger-5 and MT Argent Freesia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, rice, cement, furnace oil and phosphoric acid respectively during last 24 hours. Nine ships namely MSC Natalia, Nedlloyd Mercator, Al-Mutanabbi, Mal Pensa, Ginga Caracal, Bussan Naree, Nahide-M and Chang Qiang carrying containers, palm oil, wheat and rice respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
A total number of five vessels viz CV MSC Natalia, CV Al-Mutanabbi, CV Nedlloyd Mercator, CV UASC Damam and MT Mal Pensa carrying containers and palm oil respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Liquid cargo Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
Three ships namely MV Bussara Narree, MT Gulf Coral and MT Ginga Craccal scheduled to load/offload wheat, diesel oil and palm oil due to arrive on Tuesday. A total number of three vessels viz CV Izumo, CV CMA CGM Bellini and MT Bunga Ater are expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
