The Karachi Port handled 109,380 tonnes of cargo including 79,045 tonnes of import cargo, 30,335 tonnes of export cargo and 2,889 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 79,045 tonnes comprised of 19,441 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,133 tonnes of general cargo; 19,845 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,140 tonnes of wheat; 12,485 tonnes of coal; 6,220 tonnes of canola seeds and 38,626 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 30,335 tonnes comprised of 8,985 tonnes of containerised cargo; 323 tonnes of general cargo; 14,527 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,010 tonnes of cement; 10,517 tonnes of wheat and 6,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely STI Coral, Clen Cenyon Bridge, Jakarta Express and Kota Helus carrying oil tanker and three container ships respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Apostolos, Daewoo Diamond, Afamia, Spar Rigel, Namrun, Ital Onesta and Kota Halus carrying two oil tankers, two bulk cargo ships, bags and two container ships respectively are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely BM Interpid, Ital Onesta and Sima Singapore with general cargo ship and two container ships respectively expected to sail on Friday, while three ships namely Ellenita, Daewoo Diamond and Star Island-H with wheat carrier, oil tanker and cement carrier respectively are expected to sail on Saturday.
A container ship namely CSL Ride due to arrive on Friday, while seven vessels viz Mire, MAC Anafi, Hanjin Rome, Al-Mirqab, Honour, Alliance Beaumont and Moondance-II carrying LSFO, three container ships, two vehicles carriers and coal carrier respectively are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 49,376 tonnes of cargo includes 31,103 tonnes of import cargo, 18,273 tonnes of export cargo and 1,287 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 31,103 tonnes includes 1,000 tonnes of diesel oil; 21,943 tonnes of furnace oil and 8,160 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 18,273 tonnes includes 5,698 tonnes of wheat; 3,635 tonnes of cement and 8,940 tonnes of containerised cargo.
A container ship namely CV CMA CGM Puget sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while another container ship namely CV RHL Fiducia is expected to sail on the same day. A total number of six vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget, MV Abdul, MV Wales-II, MV Sapphire-II, MV Chang Qaing and MT Ocean Concord are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, wheat and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Six ships namely RHL Fiducia, Glory, Al-Soor-II, Hyundai Ulsan, Zulal-N and Alexi-I carrying containers, diesel oil, project cargo, wheat and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CV Glory, CV RHL Fiducia and MV Hyundai Ulsan carrying containers and project cargo respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal(MW-2) respectively on Friday, while another vessel viz CV MSC Magali carrying containers is due to arrive on the same day. Two container ships namely CV Saudi Diriyah and CV Libra Copacabana are due to arrive on Saturday, while two more ships namely CV Maersk Missouri and MT Sea Lion are due to arrive on Sunday.
