At least four persons including an activist of Sindh National Party (SNP) were gunned down in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Tuesday. According to details, an activist of SNP was shot dead while the other was injured near within the limits of Korangi police station.
The victim, who was identified as Shahzad, 21 son of Parial and a resident of slum area of Zia Colony Korangi, was targeted when he was standing along with his friend Pappu at Korangi. Resultantly Shahzad received eight bullets and died on the spot, while his friend also sustained bullet wounds and was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment. Police said the victim was the younger brother of SNP divisional president Sain Bux and suspected that he might be murdered over personal enmity.
They further said the victim was labour by his profession and also an active worker of SNP. Following the incident, tension engulfed the area where all shops were closed due to uncertain condition of the locality. A bullet-riddled body of a man was found near National Highway in the limits of Steel Town police station.
The body of the victim, who was later identified as 60-year-old Bughan son of Baghu and a resident of Malir, was found near National Highway. The body was transported to JPMC for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim, who hailed from Larkana, was kidnapped before having been murdered.
They said victim received three bullets on his head and two on his face, adding that he was working as an assistant of advocate. Later his body was handed over to his family. No case was registered till filing of this report. Yet another body of youth was found from Ittehad Town Baldia in the remits of Saeedabad police station.
The body of the victim was identified as Subhan, 30, son of Shams Ul Qamar and a resident of Frontier Colony near Ghausia Mosque, was found from Dawood Goth Ittehad Town. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for legal formalities.
Police said the victim, who got missing from Monday, was found dead in the limits of Saeedabad police. They said the family of the victim alleged his in law for his death. Later police handed over his body to the heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A bullet-riddled body of youth was found near Crown Cinema Maripur Road in the jurisdiction of Kalri police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained. The victim, who had several torture marks, received single bullet on his head. Police shifted his body to CHK for medico legal formalities and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification.
