The Lahore High Court here on Tuesday issued notices to board of governors of State Bank Pakistan and Bank of Punjab (BoP) in a writ petition challenging appointment of the BoP president and sought reply within fortnight.
The petitioner Shahid Shakeel advocated contended that the rules and regulations had been ignored while appointing Naeemuddin Khan as president BoP. Petitioner also questioned validity of foreign degrees possessed by Naeemuddin. He said the respondent was not eligible for the post. The petitioner, therefore, prayed to the court to set aside the appointment of Naeemuddin Khan as BoP president.
