A two-member bench headed by Justice Javed Iqbal on Thursday issued notices to Federal Secretary Labour and Manpower to explain why the court orders were not observed in Abdul Jabbar Memon case. The Supreme Court (SC) on June 2 had directed the Ministry of Port and Shipping and Port Qasim Authority to pay the salary and all benefits of Memon up to December 2010 and after that Ministry of Labour and Manpower may arrange salary and allowance along with his posting.
On non-compliance of the directions, the SC issued notices to Federal Secretary Labour and Manpower and Attorney General for Pakistan who will appear before the court today (Friday).
