Foolproof security of foreign consulates, UN offices

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir on Thursday directed Lahore Police to ensure foolproof security at foreign consulates, United Nation's offices and other organisations' offices besides ensuring all important and sensitive buildings in the city.
He also directed vigorous patrolling to ensure security of foreign personnel and companies along with briefing them so that they could keep a close liaison with sensitive institutions by providing them with important telephone numbers of the organisation concerned so that they could access them in the time of need. The CCPO also directed the DIG Operations to activate the Security Branch and to improve the system of receiving and dissemination of important information. He appealed to citizens to keep a watchful eye on their surroundings and in case of any suspicious activity immediately inform Lahore Police.
