Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is considering appointing veteran politician Professor N D Khan as new governor Sindh following resignation of MQM's Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, Aaj News reported on Monday. Quoting the sources, the channel also said that former Sindh home minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza could replace Syed Qaim Ali Shah as new Sindh Chief Minister.
The channel said that after sending his resignation to the president, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan left for London to meet party chief Altaf Hussain.
APP adds: Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, left here for Dubai on Monday night, an official of Governor's House said. Meanwhile, the Press Secretary to Governor Sindh said that Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, has tendered resignation.
