The Jamaat-e-Islami will participate in the next national and local government elections in a big way and it would mobilise the general public through a mass contact drive during the next three months. This was decided by the JI central election wing at its meeting at Mansoora on Tuesday with the party Secretary General, Liaquat Baloch in the chair.
The meeting decided to hold conventions of JI workers and sympathisers as well as the youth besides rallies and public meetings at big and small cities, towns and villages for an effective election campaign thereby by making the JI manifesto the voice of every citizen thus paving the way for bringing forth an honest and patriotic leadership with the ultimate goal of bringing about an Islamic revolution.
