Anti Corruption Multan on Wednesday booked 15 officials including district officer water management, tehsildar of land requisition, inspector excise and others on the charges of corruption, nepotism and unfair use of authority. The Anti Corruption officers assumed custody of the record of concerned departments before registering FIR.
Earlier, a citizen Zahir Ahmad Sherazi filed application against tehsildar of land requisition office, Highway department, Mohammad Yunis, head clerk Javed Saddiqui and Patwari Mohammad Yaqoob for alleged involvement in corruption worth million of rupees in different cases. Anti Corruption after launching preliminary investigation registered FIR against the accused.
Similarly, District Officer Water Management Javed Iqbal, Deputy District Officer Mohammad Zafar, Sub engineer Mohammad Irshad, Sub engineer Mohammad Zubair, Supervisor Ejaz Ahmad, secretary Murtaza and two other officials Makhdoom Murtaza and Qamar Abbas were booked for illegal construction of water tributary.
