General Secretary, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Sindh, Taj Haider has said that transfer of powers to provinces through devolution process under the 18th Constitution Amendment would empower the federation. Talking to APP here on Thursday, on Devolution process under 18th Constitution Amendment, Taj Haider said the devolution is a fruit of the democracy.
Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister, Waqar Mehdi, commenting on the devolution process said that present government has restored the Constitution of 1973, in its original form. He said the provinces would get more rights through devolution of departments to the provinces.
Waqar Mehdi paid glowing tribute to Chairman Implementation Commission on the 18th Amendment, Mian Raza Rabbani, and other members of the commission on their efforts. He said that the successive government should implement and utilise the 18th Constitutional Amendment in its real spirit.
