A man was killed in firing by unidentified armed men on Sunday morning at Baldia town, in the limits of Baldia police station. Police said that, 20-year-old Waseem s/o Gulab Khan was returning from duty when unidentified armed men riding on a bike intercepted him at National Bank branch Baldia Town No. 05 and opened fire. The victim died on the spot.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. Police registered FIR No. 129/2011 against unidentified armed accused and started probe, police said.
