Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday said Pakistan was a responsible state and believed in peaceful coexistence in the region. He said the government had always encouraged the research work of various institutions that provide useful information for improving its policies.
Talking to Ambassador Gul Haneef, Chairman of Institute of Strategic Studies at the PM House, the Prime Minister observed that the Institute as a think-tank should provide researched material to the government on foreign policy issues. The Prime Minister said the government would provide all possible support to make the Institute of Strategic Studies more effective and research-oriented. He asked the Chairman to reconstitute the Board of Governors of Institute of Strategic Studies and engage the best minds.
