Meteorological Department of Pakistan on Monday forecast a temporary halt in the monsoon rain for the next 36 to 48 hours, as dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, the office predicts more isolated rain and thundershower in Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas. It also rules out severe weather warning during the period.
During the last 24 hours, weather was mainly dry in most parts of the country, except Kashmir and its close parts received isolated rain and thundershower, it says. Turbat, Balochistan was the hottest part of the country with maximum 44 degree centigrade of temperature.
According to met office, moderate to rather heavy rain fall in isolated places in Northeast Balochistan. Chief amount of rain of 33 mm was recorded in Sibi and 15 mm in Barkan, besides small amount of rain fall reported at Karachi Airport. Weather remained hot to very hot and dry elsewhere in the region.
Weather in Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy with temperature ranging between 33 degree centigrade and 35 degree centigrade during the next 24 hours. Temperature in the metropolis ranged between 28 degree centigrade and 35 degree centigrade with 56 percent humidity in the air during the last 24 hours, the met office adds.
