As many as 11 modern bus terminals would be constructed in Sindh. This was announced by the Sindh Minister for Transport, Akhtar Hussain Jadoon. He was chairing a meeting of the secretaries of the District Regional Transport Authority in his office here on Tuesday. The Minister informed that in the first phase bus terminals would be built in the districts of Badin and Thatta.
He said that the Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has released a sum of Rs 200 million for the purpose. The Minister asked the district officers to register goods trucks' stands in their respective areas as this would help generate revenue for the government. He expressed displeasure that the concerned officers of Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur and Thatta were unable to meet the revenue targets. The minister warned them that if the situation remained the same in the month of July action would be initiated against them.
