Federal Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain has said that Pakistan has always welcomed the co-operation extended by Japan in various sectors of the economy. He said this while talking to Hiroshi Oe, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, who called on him here on Tuesday. Secretary Petroleum & Natural Resources Division Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhry was also present on the occasion.
Asim offered his condolences and sympathies to the Japanese Ambassador with the people of Japan that suffered huge loss of life during the recent earthquake and tsunami. The Minister apprised the Japanese Ambassador about the on-going projects of the oil and gas sector in Pakistan and thanked the Japanese government for its help extended during calamities. He emphasised the need to expand Pakistan-Japan co-operation. Hiroshi Oe assured him that the Government of Japan would extend all possible help in the energy sector and transfer of technology.-PR
