Pak-Turkish joint Naval exercise was conducted in the deep waters of the Arabian Sea. A press release of the Navy's Public Relations Directorate on Wednesday said the exercise dubbed `Deniz Aslan -II (Sea Lion)' was conducted on July 4 in two phases in which four ships of Turkish Maritime Task Group and three Pakistan Navy Ships along with a submarine participated.
The harbour phase encompassed planning conference, a seminar on tactics and procedures and communication drills. The sea phase included air defence exercise, advance manoeuvres and anti-submarine warfare procedures. The visiting Turkish Task Group was commanded by a two-star Admiral. Pakistan and Turkish navies reaffirmed continued support to each other for combating terrorism, piracy and illegal activities in the maritime sector.
