The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Wednesday sought a comprehensive reply from Pakistan Railways (PR) in a petition of its employees for denying them a special project allowance as court had expressed its dissatisfaction over the earlier reply. The court while expressing dissatisfaction over the reply observed that the stance of the respondents lacked clarity and was refuted by petitioners' counsel.
Therefore, the court directed a deputy attorney general Aazar Latif Khan to ensure submission of a comprehensive reply. Muhammad Aslam Bharwana and 18 other employees filed the petition stating that the in 2008 the railways authorities had decided to give a special project allowance to its employees, engaged for a new or ongoing project. They said ministry of railways also approved the said allowance, but the same was not being paid to the petitioners.
