'Aghaaz-e-Haqoq-e-Balochistan' development package is reflective of the commitment and seriousness of the Federal Government towards resolving the problems of the Baloch people, said Rehman Malik, Federal Minister for Interior here on Wednesday.
People of Balochistan are part of Pakistan and all their problems would be resolved at the earliest and they will be provided all chances of development and prosperity. Rehman said this while talking to Chief Minister of Balochistan Aslam Raeesani who called on him here. The two leaders discussed problems faced by the people of Balochistan, besides discussing law and order situation in that province.
They also reviewed the pace of implementation of 'Aghaaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan' package announced by the government for the socio-economic development of the province and to improve the living conditions of the masses of the province. They also discussed the forthcoming Federal Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held in Quetta on July 13.
The Balochistan Chief Minister welcomed the decision of the Federal Government for holding Cabinet meeting in Quetta, terming it a good omen for the people of Balochistan. Meanwhile, talking to Liu Jian, Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan, the Interior Minister said Pakistan and China enjoy time-tested friendship as their mutual relations would bring stability and prosperity in the region.
The Chinese Ambassador discussed issues of bilateral and mutual interests. The Minister said the government was adopting special measures to ensure security of Chinese citizens working in Pakistan. He also directed the concerned agencies to take further steps to provide foolproof security to Chinese people.
The Ambassador said China attaches special attention to its ties with Pakistan. He said the two countries are extending every possible co-operation to each other, and China wishes to further strengthen its relations with Pakistan. He thanked the Minister for ensuring enhanced security for the Chinese citizens working in different areas of Pakistan.
