Pakistan Navy handed over keys of houses to flood affected people in Sujawal on Wednesday. An ISPR (Navy) statement issued here said that Begum Zubaria Noman, wife of Chief of Naval Staff, was the chief guest at the distribution ceremony. It said that this is the second phase of PN Model Village, which comprises 62 houses.
Pakistan Navy in collaboration with philanthropists has constructed these houses for the families who were displaced due to heavy floods last year. Earlier, in phase-I of PN model villages, 40 houses were handed over in December last year to the affected families in Ali Abad.
The model villages have been built according to the modern requirement and provided with basic facilities like school, mosque, recreational and medical centres etc. Begum Zubaria Noman, who is also the President Pakistan Navy Women Association, visited the houses.
