The Karachi Port handled 46,670 tonnes of cargo including 25,000 tonnes of import cargo, 21,670 tonnes of export cargo and 2,892 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 25,000 tonnes comprised of 13,704 tonnes of containerised cargo; 5,134 tonnes of bulk cargo and 6,162 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 21,670 tonnes comprised of 16,519 tonnes of containerised cargo; 40 tonnes of general cargo; 4,311 tonnes of bulk cargo and 800 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Toroko, Vira Bhum, Northern Valour, D D Vogue, Shoko Maru and Siam Sapphire carrying three container ships, general cargo ship, oil tanker and bulk cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Two vessels viz APL Agate and Ital Ottima carrying two container ships respectively are currently at the berths. Two ships namely APL Agate and Ital Ottima carrying two container ships expected to sail on Wednesday. Eight vessels viz Usma, Neelambari, Manila Express, Dandie, Omaha Belle, Manar, UBC Cyprus and Noble Coral with chemical carrier, mogas, two container ships, DAP carrier, rock phosphate carrier, cement carrier and general cargo ship due to arrive on Wednesday, while four vessels viz Sor Provider, Siam Sapphire, Hanjin Paris and Praia carrying mogas, bulk cargo ship and two container ships respectively are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 71,789 tonnes of cargo includes 57,964 tonnes of import cargo, 13,825 tonnes of export cargo and 2,222 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 57,964 tonnes includes 27,110 tonnes of furnace oil; 9,999 tonnes of edible oil; 2,090 tonnes of chemicals and 18,765 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 13,825 tonnes includes 2,173 tonnes of wheat and 11,652 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MV Fowairte and CV MSC Magali sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while three more ships namely MV Asir, CV Nedlloyed Mercator and Royal Emerald will sail out to sea on the same day afternoon. A total number of eight vessels CV Nedlloyed Mercator, MV Fowairte, CV MSC Magali, MV Asir, MV Tamil Nadu, Sigloo Tor, MT Mire and Royal Emerald are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, chemicals, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Ten ships namely Chrisopigl Lady, Al-Soor-II, Neelam Bari, Pago, Canta Brain, Hammonia Pomerenia, Izumo, CGM Chopin, Chemroad Wing and Siam Sapphire carrying gas oil, diesel oil, chemicals, containers, edible oil and bulk cargo are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of six vessels viz CV Izumo, CV CGM Chopin, CV Pago, CV Canta Brain, Chemroad Wing and Siam Sapphire carrying containers, edible oil and bulk cargo are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Grain & Fertiliser Terminal (FAP) respectively on Wednesday.
