Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah chaired a meeting to review law and order situation in metropolis held at Sindh CM's House here on Thursday. The meeting directed law enforcers to shoot terrorists and miscreants at sight, said a statement. The meeting decided that police and Rangers will have full powers to ensure peace and maintain law and order in the port city.
The meeting was held on the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari, which was attended by IG Sindh, Wajid Ali Durrani, Acting Director General Rangers, Sindh, Brigadier Zafar Iqbal, CCPO Karachi, Saud Mirza and other notables. Addressing the meeting, Sindh CM expressed grief over present situation in the city and urged the law enforcement agencies (LEA) to use all resources to eliminate miscreants.
The Sindh CM directed LEAs to take effective measures to ensure protection of life and property of the people. The participants of meeting were given a detailed briefing about prevailing law and order situation in the city. Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed police and Rangers to immediately arrest terrorists, miscreants and anti-social elements. The meeting also decided to increase police and Rangers patrolling in all areas in the metropolis. The participants also agreed to take action against terrorists irrespective of political or any other affiliation.
