Britain's News of the World has closed its 168-year history with the headline "Thank You and Goodbye" in its final edition on Sunday, reports said. The weekly tabloid whose stock in trade has been exposes of rogues, celebrities, politicians and royals ended its long history with a simple message to its millions of readers, the BBC and Sky News reported.
A picture posted on Twitter showed a montage of some of its biggest scoops and a message saying: "After 168 years, we finally say a sad but very proud farewell to our 7.5 million loyal readers."
