A large number of PIA employees gathered at the airline head office to celebrate a pay increase of 20 percent. PIA employees of Pay Groups I to IV gathered and reached the office of Managing Director PIA, Nadeem Khan Yousufzai where President Peoples Unity of PIA employees (CBA), Amir Shah and office-bearers, including SVP Peoples Unity, Mauladad Laghari presented a bouquet to MD PIA on behalf of PIA employees. Slogans were raised in favour of PIA management.
The employees expressed their gratitude to MD PIA and in particular, President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari for the salary increase which was announced earlier by the President himself during his visit to PIA head office on the inauguration of Benazir Bhutto Apna Ghar Scheme for PIA employees.
Managing Director PIA, Nadeem Khan Yousufzai congratulated the employees' on their pay raise. Speaking on the occasion MD PIA said that more benefits would be given to the employees but for this, he said that all employees have to work collectively for the betterment of the airline, which is beneficial for all stakeholders that are the customers, shareholders and employees of the airline. PIA employees assured MD PIA of their full support for the betterment of the airline.-PR
