Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has ordered Anti-Corruption Department to register case against the persons who allegedly defrauded thousands of people to the tune of billions of rupees. He also ordered arrest of the accused at the earliest.
This case has been registered by the Anti-Corruption Department under different sections of law against Ex-Chairman Board of Secondary and Intermediate Rawalpindi Professor Iftikhar Baig and his companions for fraud and extorting money from the people by misguiding them.
As per details, Professor Iftikhar Baig ex-Chairman of Board of Secondary & Intermediate Rawalpindi and President of Education City Housing Project in collaboration with his companions have defrauded thousands of persons and deprived them of billions of rupees by making false allotment of plots in Airport Road, other areas of Rawalpindi and in Mianwali City.
They vanished from the scene after extorting billions of rupees. The chief minister has directed Anti-Corruption Department to register a case against these accused and arrest them to recover the money from them. The high officials of Anti-Corruption Department has registered a case and appointed 3-member investigation team which has carried out detailed investigation against Iftikhar Baig and other accused and has prepared it's report. The case has been registered under Sections 420/460, 471/109, 5/2/47 and different others.
