Raise in pay package of doctors, nurses: notification issued

As announced by Chief Minister Punjab earlier, the finance department issued notification regarding pay-package of doctors and nurses here on Tuesday. A Health Department spokesman said here on Tuesday, that the total volume of the package is Rs 5.2 billion.
As per the notification, an increase of Rs 6, 000 per month has been made in the salary of house officers, Rs 20, 000 per month in the salary of postgraduate trainee doctors, Rs 15, 000 in the salary of grade 17 medical officers, women medical officers and dental surgeons. Similarly an increase of Rs 10, 000 per month has been announced in the monthly salary of grade 18 and above doctors. Moreover, approval has also been granted for pay protection of doctors and nurses whose services have been regularised from contract.
