The Chancellor Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET ) has appointed Engr Yusuf Siddiqi, a former Chief Engineer in the then Karachi Development Authority, as Project Director for 200 acres of land it the Education City.
Chancellor Nizami assigned the project to Siddiqi at a meeting held under his chairmanship to review the progress achieved so far in relation to this stupendous project, which involves the establishment of an IT Park besides a big campus for the university. SSUET was allotted this land in the prestigious Education City project along with some other reputed organisations like Zabist, Agha Khan University etc. The university had allocated Rs 6.5 million in the budget 2010-11 to start work on the project hut later reduced the amount in the revised budget because of various constraints.-PR
