Government is utilising all its available resources for socio-economic uplift of the people of Pakistan, while special attentions is being paid to problems of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), said Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik here on Thursday.
"Government always adopted measures to address problems of people of KP, particularly of Dera Ismail Khan and it would utilise all its resources for the purpose," Malik said while talking to Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Faisal Karim Kundi, who called on him. Both the leaders discussed matters relating to security of legislators residing in Parliament Lodges.
Malik appreciated role of people and police of DI Khan, who have sacrificed a lot in the war against terrorism and extremism. He mentioned terrorism incident at Kolachi police station and said the bereaved families of those, who lost their precious lives in the incident would be facilitated. He further said the government would also provide free education to the children of Kolachi martyrs. The minister also directed the Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Inspector General of Police to take steps to further ensure fool-proof security of members of national assembly living in the parliament lodges.
