Raw sugar futures on ICE turned higher early on Friday with the market showing signs of resuming its uptrend after suffering a technically driven setback. October raw sugar on ICE was up 0.51 cent or 1.8 percent at 29.53 cents a lb at 1403 GMT, rebounding strongly from a low earlier in the session of 28.50 cents.
Arabica coffee futures on ICE fell slightly with the market looking to consolidate after a steep advance on Wednesday was followed by a sharp setback on Thursday. September arabica coffee on ICE eased 0.85 cents or 0.3 percent to $2.5750 per lb. September cocoa on ICE rose $17 to $3,173 a tonne.
