The Karachi Port handled 82,452 tonnes of cargo including 38,118 tonnes of import cargo, 44,334 tonnes of export cargo and 4,773 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 38,118 tonnes comprised of 24,854 tonnes of containerised cargo; 26 tonnes of general cargo; 7,238 tonnes of bulk cargo: 3,552 tonnes of DAP; 3,072 tonnes of chickpeas and 6,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 44,334 tonnes comprised of 38,176 tonnes of containerised cargo; 50 tonnes of general cargo; 5,608 tonnes of bulk cargo: 736 tonnes of cement; 2,132 tonnes of loose bulk cement; 2,740 tonnes of wheat and 500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Three ships namely Xiang Fu Men, Lahore Express and UBC Cyprus carrying general cargo ship, container ship and cement carrier respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. Six vessels viz MSC Anafi, OOCL Dalian, APL Chicago, Nizar-M, Cleantec and SCF Provider carrying three container ships, two bulk cargo ships and oil tanker are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Emirates Indus, MSC Anafi and Abtin-1 carrying three container ships expected to sail on Saturday, while three ships namely CSL Ride, APL Chicago and Dlace with two container ships and ethanol carrier respectively are expected to sail on Sunday.
One ship namely Omaha Belle with DAP is expected to sail on Monday. Seven vessels viz MT Lahore, Freja Ocean, Iron Butterfly, Uru Bhum, Silver Zone, APL Shenzhen and Spar Orion carrying crude oil tanker, naphtha carrier, project cargo ship, three container ships and yellow peas carrier respectively are due to arrive on Saturday, while five vessels viz PVT Dolphin, Valor SW, Lindavia, Bunga Raya Lima and Capricomus Leader carrying jet oil tanker, DAP carrier, two container ships and vehicles carrier respectively are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 119,488 tonnes of cargo includes 98,326 tonnes of import cargo, 21,162 tonnes of export cargo and 3,486 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 98,326 tonnes includes 47,936 tonnes of diesel oil; 8,900 tonnes of palm oil; 10,884 tonnes of coal and 30,606 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 21,162 tonnes includes 3,543 tonnes of wheat and 17,619 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MT Chemroad Mega and CV MSC Diamon sailed out to sea on Friday evening, while another ship namely MV Libra Ipanema sailed out to sea on Saturday morning. A total number of ten vessels MV Topaz-II, MV Diaman Falcon, CV MSC Diamon, MSC Natalia, CV Libra Ipanema, MV Glory, Theoforos-I, MT Chemroad Mega, MT Mannon and MT Al-Soor-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, wheat, containers, coal, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Northern Diplomat-II, CSAV Appennini, Al-Kuwaitiah and Al-Salam-II carrying containers and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two vessels viz CV Northern Diplomat-II and Al-Kuwaitiah carrying containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Saturday, while a dredger MV Jun Hai-2 is due to arrive at Port Qasim on the same day.
