Kashmir Accession to Pakistan Day was observed on Tuesday by the refugees from the occupied Jammu and Kashmir settled in the Sialkot and Narowal districts. The daylong programmes started with special prayers for the solidarity, unity and prosperity of the country as well as for the early liberation of occupied valley in various mosques.
Addressing a meeting held in connection with Kashmir Accession to Pakistan, the President All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference of Sialkot district Hafiz Muhammad Raza said that it was the beginning of movement that resulted in formation of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference under the dynamic leadership of great Kashmiri Leader late Choudary Ghulam Abbas in 1932.
All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference on July 19, 1947 passed a historic resolution demanding the Dogra rulers to accede the state of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan respecting the popular sentiments of the people of the state, he added.
The Sialkot District President of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference further said that it is high time that more than half centenary old Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to wishes of Kashmiris in the light of United Nations Resolution.
Despite of giving the right of self-determination to the Kashmiris according to United Nations resolutions the Indian Army was butchering the Kashmiris ruthlessly in held valley, he added.
Hafiz Raza further said that killing of innocent Kashmiris had become daily routine and atrocities are increased manifold in the held valley. Hafiz Muhammad Raza appealed to all peace loving nations and Secretary General United Nations to use their influence and stress Indian government for stopping wide range genocide of Kashmiris in held Kashmir.
Prominent Kashmiri leaders of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Sheikh Muhammad Saleem and Ejaz Ahmad Sheikh while addressing the meeting said that Kashmiris were struggling for liberating their motherland from the Indian yoke and they deserved the attention of freedom loving countries in this regard.
