Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Maulana Fazlur Rahman, on Wednesday called upon India to withdraw its army and repeal draconian laws from the Occupied Kashmir, so that the Kashmiris could have a sigh of relief. He expressed these views while talking to Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front Yasin Malik, who is on visit of Pakistan.
He was accompanied by other Kashmiri leaders Rafiq Dar and Rafiq Haroon. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Pakistan would continue its political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris, who were waging a just struggle for their right to self-determination.
Yasin Malik briefed the Chairman on the latest situation in the Occupied Kashmir.
He said that there was no let up in the state terrorism, unleashed by the Indian security forces in the Occupied Kashmir. The Kashmiris are being killed and thousands have been detained.
However, in spite of the repression, the Kashmiri people will continue their struggle for freedom, he said. Maulana said that Kashmiris were fighting for their right to self-determination, which was their fundamental right.
He said that the hearts of Pakistanis throb from with the hearts of the Kashmiris and we won't leave the latter in the lurch. He said, "We will continue moral, political and diplomatic support to them".
