Federal Minister for Communications, Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has said that the government has given subsidy during the holy month of Ramazan despite financial constraints, saying that the package will provide massive discount on different essential commodities.
Talking to political workers and traders during a meeting at his office here, he said that government has taken initiatives to provide relief to poor masses in the holy month of Ramazan. He admitted that the people are suffering a lot in the wake of growing price hike and other problems, but said the issues were 'gifted' by previous government. He recalled that the PPP leaders have rendered sacrifices for the sake of democracy, saying that the democracy is flourishing in the country due to sacrifices of the party leadership.
Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan apprised the delegations over the development work carried out by the ministry of communications. On the occasion, he entertained the complaints of members of the delegation and issued directive for their immediate redressing.
