The Karachi Port handled 94,358 tonnes of cargo including 53,536 tonnes of import cargo, 40,822 tonnes of export cargo and 2,416 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 53,536 tonnes comprised of 10,887 tonnes of containerised cargo; 4,846 tonnes of general cargo; 25,803 tonnes of bulk cargo: 5,674 tonnes of DAP; 19,500 tonnes of coal; 629 tonnes of yellow peas and 12,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 40,822 tonnes comprised of 18,151 tonnes of containerised cargo; 600 tonnes of general cargo; 6,846 tonnes of bulk cargo and 15,225 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely CSL Ride, Conti Brisbane, MOL Success, APL Sokhna, Al Sabiyah and Spar Orion carrying four container ships, oil tanker and bulk cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Two vessels viz Marcampania and Pacific Sapphire carrying container ship and oil tanker are currently at the berths. Six ships namely Hansa Century, Marcampania, Cap Graham, Honesty, Pacific Sapphire and King Honor carrying three container ships, two oil tanker and general cargo ship respectively are expected to sail on Thursday.
Four vessels viz Cap Graham, Cosco Kawasaki, Labro and El Mar Victoria with two container ships, coal carrier and general cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday, while five vessels viz DL Diamond, Silva, Al Mirqab, Hanjin Beijiang and Salis carrying ethylene carrier, low sulphur carrier and three container ships respectively are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 95,510 tonnes, comprising 70,424 tonnes of import cargo and 25,086 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 3,470 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The total import cargo of 70,424 tonnes includes 19,063 tonnes of crude oil; 2,658 tonnes of palm oil; 8,345 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 40,358 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 25,086 tonnes includes 6,454 tonnes of cement and 18,632 tonnes of containerised cargo. A phosphoric acid carrier MT Isabel Knutsen sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while two container ships namely CV CMA CGM Mozart and CV Al Mutanabbi are expected to sail on the same day.
A total number of eight vessels CV CMA CGM Mozart, CV Al Mutanabbi, CV Margurite Rickmers, MV Wales-II, MV Nelson, MT Anggraini, MT Isabel Knutsen and MT Mako are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil, chemicals and crude oil respectively during last 24 hours. Nine ships namely Pago, Sea Lion, Th Symphony, Kassos, Al-Soor-II, Anggraini, Sunrise Wister, Isabel Knutsen and Alaska-II carrying containers, furnace oil, diesel oil, palm oil, chemicals, phosphoric acid and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
A total number of five vessels viz CV Pago, CV OOCL San Francisco, MV Alaska-II, MV Golden Ambrosia and MT Sunrise Wister carrying containers, cement and chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminals (MW-1 & MW-2) and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
